Hike Two Miles then Call Me in the Morning

Are you feeling stressed, anxious, irritable, depressed, lonely, tired, confused, lacking confidence or mentally or physically fatigued? Wouldn’t that be something if during your next doctor’s visit you were given a prescription for “a dose of nature.” Well don’t wait for your symptoms to get worse, you can fill that prescription all on your own, it’s free and you don’t need a PhD! Lace up your shoes, call a friend or head out alone and submerge yourself in nature. Nature is the ideal setting to work through life’s issues. Hitting the trail works out not only your body but your brain. It helps to clear the mind and perks up your creativity. It’s a great way to connect with yourself and others. You will feel revitalized more energetic and it will bring you feelings of peace and a sense of well-being. So get out there and feel the dirt under your feet, the sun shining overhead, and soak in nature’s healing powers. A word of caution, nature can become addicting!

"In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." - John Muir

Nature heals.

  1. Just the other day I was asking myself "What is my True North." Meaning, what can I come home to when I am feeling stressed out, confused, lonely, anxiety...all those ugly feelings we want to avoid. My answer was Mother Nature. When I have feelings that are less than desirable I go out into nature, onto dirt, and either find comfort or find answers. Thanks for the post!
